Job summary

Owen Daniels in South Wales is recruiting Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. You will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace applications, create 3D CAD models and technical drawings, and support projects from concept through to production within a cross-functional team.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural Engineering, experience in manufacturing environments, and proficiency in CATIA V5 with

Working within a cross-functional engineering team, you will support the design and development of innovative aerospace products from concept through to manufacture, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and programme requirements.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Skills / Experience / Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural Engineering.
• Previous mechanical design engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 or a similar 3D CAD package, with knowledge of PLM systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerancing and design-for-manufacture principles.
• Experience of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and plastics, supported by strong problem-solving and communication skills.
