Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK is seeking a Junior Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration, configuration, test and verification of hardware and software within complex tactical communications and information systems.

The role offers development opportunities across the system engineering lifecycle, including lab-based integration, troubleshooting, formal test execution, reporting, and support to field activities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience with system integration and lab-based testing is desirable.
• Ability to document procedures and results clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Support integration activities for tactical C4I solutions in lab environments.
• Assist setup, configuration, and commissioning of hardware, software and network components.
• Contribute to test plans, procedures and supporting documentation.
• Execute defined integration and test activities under guidance and record results.
• Support data collection, reports, and technical summaries for verification.
• Assist with issue investigation and escalation as needed.
• Contribute to automation of build, test and processes where possible.
• Maintain clear technical records using approved tools and MS Office.
