Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier quality across the supply chain, investigate non-conformances, conduct audits, and push continuous improvement with internal stakeholders.

You will support supplier development, review quality documentation, and promote lean, cost‑effective procurement. The role is hybrid with UK and occasional European travel, offering a monthly salary of £45,600–£57,000 plus flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or similar field.
• Experience using Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Experience within highly regulated manufacturing, aerospace, defence, or engineering environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, and improve supplier quality performance.
• Investigate supplier-related non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments (on-site and remote).
• Support supplier approval, development, and performance reviews.
• Manage supplier quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Review supplier quality documentation, inspection plans, and controls.
• Analyze supplier quality trends and lead improvement initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day quality engineering support to suppliers and internal teams.
• Manage customer returns for supplier repairs and maintain records.
• Support counterfeit prevention activities and cross-functional projects.
