Job summary

Trading Technologies is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to join our Global Operations team in Belfast. The role focuses on monitoring, initial troubleshooting, and executing SOPs to maintain a high-availability SaaS trading platform.

You will be the first contact for break-fix tickets, handling Linux/Windows, AWS, and virtualization aspects in a 24/7 global support model. Ideal candidates are early in their careers with a drive to learn the full infrastructure stack, including Linux,

Qualifications

Associate degree or relevant certification in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms and concepts (VMware, OpenShift Virt, Nutanix).
General familiarity with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
Strong troubleshooting and step-by-step problem solving.
Basic exposure to Python or Bash scripting.
Strong verbal and written communication for incidents.
Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow direction from leadership.
Ability to work in rotating shifts to support a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

Tier 1 & Tier 2 support and triage for Linux/Windows, AWS, and hardware issues.
Diagnose authentication failures across AD, LDAP/SSSD, MFA/2FA, and AWS IAM.
Troubleshoot global virtualization environments to maintain uptime.
Perform routine monitoring and health checks of hybrid compute and storage services.
Execute SOPs for access requests, provisioning, and hardware status checks.
Document troubleshooting steps and contribute to the knowledge base.
