Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking a Landing Gear Systems Engineer for a 6-month contract based in Filton. The role involves design development of braking and steering systems for aerospace applications, with a focus on safety, V&V, and compliance with industry standards.

You will collaborate with systems, structures, certification specialists, and procurement, leading work packages and ensuring delivery on time, cost and quality while supporting phase reviews and ongoing safety

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• Experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering (Safety and Continued Airworthiness).
• Knowledge of ARP 5150, Part-21A.3, Part-M, CS 25.1309.
• Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems, esp. Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems.

Landing Gear Systems Engineer

6 month contract

Based in Filton

As the Landing Gear Systems Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Participate in the design development and modifications of the Braking and Steering System
• Work with other Engineers and signatories along with interfaces such as Systems and Structures, Certification Specialists, Chief Engineers, Procurement, and Vendors
• Support System activities, including introducing new functionality to systems, ensuring robust cascade of requirements to the system, and lead development of the system to meet the requirements
• Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification (V&V) activities.
• Ensuring activity meets Safety and technical needs, following the appropriate processes and procedures, demonstrating strong requirement adherence and V&V

Your skillset & experience:

• University degree in Engineering
• Experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, ideally in the field of Safety and Continued Airworthiness engineering
• Experience of Safety processes, regulations, and guidelines (ARP 5150 (Safety Assessment of Commercial Airplanes), Part-21A.3, Part-M (Continuing Airworthiness Requirements), CS 25.1309)
• Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems, in particular, Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems
• Experience in the Landing Gear perimeter
• Knowledge of Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) testing and Avionics associated with Braking and Steering Systems
• Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members, with delivery to Time, Cost, and Quality
• Strong ability to lead and manage a project team (i.e Work Package management);
