Job summary

McLaren Racing is seeking a structural analyst to maximise the structural performance of the F1 car. You will use the latest structural simulation tools, applying engineering skill and creativity to meet stringent safety and durability requirements.

Based at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, this full-time role sits within the Structural Design Team, collaborating with Design, Materials, Vehicle Performance and Labs to push engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of structural/stress analysis methodologies (hand calculations, fatigue).
• Experience with mainstream FEA packages and solvers; coding/scripting skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and validate FEA structural models.
• Ensure solutions meet safety, reliability and compliance standards.
• Contribute technical expertise to proposals and innovation.
• Innovate to maximise car performance while maintaining quality.
