You will follow documented procedures and collaborate with senior colleagues to improve scripts and dashboards. Essential qualifications include a degree or equivalent, Linux and networking basics, and clear communication.

Qualifikationen

• A degree or equivalent in a technical subject, or demonstrable practical experience through projects, apprenticeships or internships.
• Basic knowledge of Linux, networking and at least one scripting or programming language.
• Clear communication and a willingness to ask for help early.

Aufgaben

• Carries out routine operational tasks such as deployments, patching, access requests and capacity checks, following documented procedures.
• Writes and improves scripts and small automation tasks to reduce manual toil, with code review from senior colleagues.
• Maintains dashboards, alerts and runbooks, and flags gaps or noisy alerts.
• Supports the data management systems in the area by following guidance from senior colleagues.
• Joins the on-call rota once trained, initially as a shadow or secondary responder.
• Keeps accurate tickets, documentation and handover notes.
