Loungers’ Portello Lounge is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help the team deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish leaves the pass to spec.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen handling fresh ingredients.
• Able to work in a busy hospitality environment.
• Understanding of allergens and food safety.
• Experience as Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen.
• Own your section including prep and par.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure safety.
• Help newer chefs develop skills.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure plates meet specs.
