Job summary

wagamama in Leeds is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support shifts and the kitchen team. You’ll help lead a vibrant, high-performing kitchen and ensure every dish is made to order with the freshest ingredients.

You’ll be coaching the team, planning line coverage, upholding food hygiene and safety standards, and driving a kaizen mindset to continuously improve operations and celebrate success with your colleagues.

Qualifications

• passionate about supporting your team and helping others be the best they can be and maintaining high standards
• ready to manage the line, planning shifts to ensure proper cover and coaching on the go
• understand kitchen food, health and safety standards and the financial performance of a kitchen including gross profit, stock control and labour cost
• enjoy celebrating team successes and recognising individual drivers

• working closely with the rest of the management team to run a vibrant and high-performing kitchen
• making sure food quality and kitchen vibes stay sky-high

• plan shifts to ensure the right cover and manage the line while coaching the team on the go
