LGH Hotels Management is seeking a skilled chef to support the Derby Mickleover Hotel kitchen. You will lead sections during service, coach junior chefs, and uphold food hygiene standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a hotel, restaurant or premium hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation and kitchen operations.
• Hands-on leadership style and calm under busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Passion for coaching and developing others.
• Good understanding of food safety and health & safety standards.
• Desire to learn and progress in a hospitality career.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Lead sections during service and ensure high food quality.
• Coach and develop junior chefs and kitchen team members.
• Maintain food hygiene, health & safety and HACCP standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising waste.
• Support menu development and seasonal specials.
• Work with the wider hotel team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
