Loungers plc is hiring a Junior Sous Chef at Bendigo Lounge. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring high standards and smooth shifts across a growing hospitality brand with 300+ sites. This role offers real responsibility and a clear path to senior kitchen roles, with real cooking and team leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (hot and cold prep).
• Knowledge of allergens and food safety best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and support senior chefs.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is ready.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par levels, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes and keep the kitchen compliant and safe.
• Help newer chefs develop their skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs and ensure every plated dish is to standard.
