Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Tretho Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll join a kitchen team supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping deliver great shifts and quality dishes with real growth potential within a growing hospitality brand.

This role offers hourly pay with tips, flexible/part-time style contracts, a free meal on every shift, and 50% discount on food & drinks from day one. Great for those seeking progression in a busy, social kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene).
• Able to follow allergen processes and maintain food safety standards.
• Currently or recently a Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie aiming to progress to more responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is ready for each day.
• Keep a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards on every shift.
• Own your section, manage prep, par, hygiene and safety at all times.
• Follow allergen processes to ensure kitchen compliance and safety.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to build their skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate leaves the kitchen proudly.
