ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Junior Sous Chef at our beautiful Cafe, Daylesford Brompton Cross, you will execute all dishes as per menu specifications. Ideally, you’ll have experience in similar fresh food and restaurant environments or possess a passion for good food, making the basics come easily to you.
The role requires stamina and enjoyment of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your confidence will enable you to give calm and clear instructions during busy periods. You’ll be highly organized and able to coordinate your station seamlessly.
SALARY & HOURS
SALARY: £15.12 Per hour
HOURS: Full time, 48 hours/week
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to: Head Chef
Food
- Execute all dishes as per menu specifications.
- Support the Sous Chef in delivering creative, seasonal, on-brand specials, highlighting farm produce.
Service
- Respect the produce and ingredients.
Operations
- Adhere to kitchen audit requirements.
- Support a safe workplace with the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
- Follow and uphold cleaning routines.
- Maintain and report on kitchen equipment condition.
Numbers
- Monitor stock levels; notify the team of low stock.
- Assist in managing stock, ordering, and minimizing waste.
- Understand the importance of delivery and payroll percentages.
People
- Support coaching and training junior chefs.
- Act as a role model in work ethic, service, and skills.
