Job description

Ottolenghi is well-known for it's loyal following and a reputation for offering exceptional Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Our beautiful venue in the heart of Hampstead is seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our warm and welcoming back of house team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of your section in a dynamic kitchen, contribute to menu development, and help deliver the Ottolenghi experience.

As a Junior Sous Chef at Ottolenghi Hampstead, you will:

  • Assist the Sous & Head Chefs in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Contribute to menu development and creative recipe ideas
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff

The ideal Junior Sous Chef will be:

  • Passionate about food, with a creative approach to preparing dishes
  • A strong team player who enjoys collaborating with others and is confident in leading their section
  • Able to manage your section with precision and attention to detail
  • Experienced in a similar role, ideally in a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen
  • Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness in the kitchen
