Job summary

Crerar Hotels is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team across Scotland and the Lake District. You will assist the Head Chef, inspire the kitchen crew, and contribute to high-quality, consistently exceptional dishes in a fast-paced environment.

You will uphold the highest hygiene standards, support portion control and stock management, and participate in training to develop continuous improvement across the kitchen. Flexible shifts are required, with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Adhering to the highest food hygiene standards, you’ll ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen. In collaboration with the Head Chef, you’ll monitor portion control, manage waste, and maintain stock control, ensuring profitability while upholding the quality our guests expect. Flexible working hours, including early, late, and split shifts, will be required to meet the needs of the role.
