Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Junior Software Project Engineer in Slough, offering a salary of 40,000 - 50,000 with hybrid working, training and clear career progression. You will join a specialist software team and contribute to industrial automation projects across regulated industries.

The role covers PLC/HMI/SCADA development, documentation, and customer-facing delivery, with a pathway to grow into a full Software Project Engineer within a supportive organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in software, controls, automation or electrical engineering.
• PLC, HMI or SCADA experience advantageous.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of industrial automation and software projects.
• Produce technical documentation including FDS, RAMS and project quotations.
• Develop and modify PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Support commissioning, fault-finding and installation activities.
• Work closely with customers and project teams to ensure on-spec delivery.
