Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Junior Software Project Engineer based in Bristol (Thornbury) with 40,000 - 50,000 salary plus training, hybrid working, and progression opportunities.

You will join a well-established engineering team, supporting the delivery of industrial automation projects across regulated industries, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors. The role blends office-based work with site-based activities and offers strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in software, controls, automation or electrical engineering.
• PLC/HMI/SCADA experience advantageous.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of industrial automation and software projects.
• Produce technical documentation including FDS, RAMS and project quotations.
• Develop and modify PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
• Support commissioning, fault-finding and installation activities.
• Work closely with customers and project teams throughout delivery.
