Job summary

SR2 REC LTD is seeking a Junior Security Engineer with SC clearance to support cybersecurity remediation across government and public sector environments. The role is hands-on, focusing on implementing security controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure, strengthening cyber resilience and threat detection.

Responsibilities include configuring IAM, PAM, MFA and Conditional Access, implementing Zero Trust and DLP controls, and developing monitoring using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel/Defender/Purview/Entra ID.
• Experience securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong IAM/PAM/Zero Trust/DLP knowledge.
• Experience developing detection rules and using KQL.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on technical security remediation across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

We are looking for multiple Junior Security Engineer to support cybersecurity remediation and security improvement initiatives across government and public sector environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on implementing security controls, resolving vulnerabilities and strengthening cyber resilience across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune.
• Deliver hands-on technical security remediation across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Configure and improve Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), MFA and Conditional Access controls.
• Implement Zero Trust security measures, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), endpoint protection and threat detection capabilities.
• Develop and optimise security monitoring, alerting and automated detection using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
• Ensure technical solutions align with NCSC guidance, Secure by Design principles and government security standards.

Essential Skills & Experience
