Job summary

SR2 REC LTD in Greater London is seeking a Technical Security Engineer with active SC clearance to join multiple teams supporting cybersecurity remediation and security improvement in government and public sector environments. This hands-on engineering role focuses on implementing security controls, resolving vulnerabilities and strengthening cyber resilience across Microsoft 365 and Azure.

You will work with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune to implement Zero Trust,

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID
• Experience securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
• Strong knowledge of IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, DLP and cloud security
• Experience creating detection rules and investigating security events using KQL

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune.
• Deliver hands-on technical security remediation across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Configure and improve IAM, PAM, MFA and Conditional Access controls.
• Implement Zero Trust security measures, DLP, endpoint protection and threat detection capabilities.
• Develop and optimise security monitoring, alerting and automated detection using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
• Ensure technical solutions align with NCSC guidance, Secure by Design principles and government security standards.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on implementing security controls, resolving vulnerabilities and strengthening cyber resilience across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune.
• Deliver hands-on technical security remediation across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Configure and improve Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), MFA and Conditional Access controls.
• Implement Zero Trust security measures, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), endpoint protection and threat detection capabilities.
• Develop and optimise security monitoring, alerting and automated detection using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
• Ensure technical solutions align with NCSC guidance, Secure by Design principles and government security standards.

• Active SC clearance
• Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview and Entra ID.
• Proven experience configuring and securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
