Job summary

SR2 REC LTD is seeking a Lead Technical Security Engineer to lead remediation and security improvements across government and public sector environments, with a focus on Microsoft security technologies.

This hands-on leadership role strengthens cyber resilience, designs and implements security controls, and ensures alignment with government security standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale remediation in hybrid cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical security remediation activities across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Design, implement and optimise security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune.
• Strengthen IAM, PAM, MFA and Conditional Access controls.
• Implement Zero Trust, DLP, endpoint security and threat detection capabilities.
• Develop security monitoring, automation and detection solutions using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
• Translate security assessments, vulnerabilities and audit findings into actionable remediation plans.
• Work closely with security architects, engineers and senior stakeholders to deliver sustainable security improvements.
• Ensure solutions align with NCSC guidance, Secure by Design principles and government security standards.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on strengthening cyber resilience, improving security controls and delivering practical remediation solutions across Microsoft security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical security remediation activities across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Design, implement and optimise security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune.
• Strengthen Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), MFA and Conditional Access controls.
