SR2 is seeking a Junior Security Engineer (SC Cleared) for a remote contract in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on hands-on remediation and security improvements across government and public sector environments, with emphasis on implementing security controls in Microsoft 365 and Azure.

You will configure IAM/PAM, MFA and Conditional Access, apply Zero Trust and DLP measures, and develop detection rules using KQL to strengthen cyber resilience.

Qualifikationen

• Active SC clearance required.
• Hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview and Entra ID.
• Experience securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, DLP, cloud security and security operations.
• Experience developing detection rules and investigating security events using KQL.

We are looking for multiple Junior Security Engineer to support cybersecurity remediation and security improvement initiatives across government and public sector environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on implementing security controls, resolving vulnerabilities and strengthening cyber resilience across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID and Intune.
• Deliver hands-on technical security remediation across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Configure and improve Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), MFA and Conditional Access controls.
• Implement Zero Trust security measures, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), endpoint protection and threat detection capabilities.
• Develop and optimise security monitoring, alerting and automated detection using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL.
• Ensure technical solutions align with NCSC guidance, Secure by Design principles and government security standards.

Essential Skills & Experience
