Job summary

City Football Group is seeking a data-focused professional in Manchester to ensure the accuracy and consistency of its internal scouting data. The role centers on maintaining a high-quality scouting platform that supports decision-making across the CFG network.

You will perform data updates, quality checks and troubleshooting with SQL, helping keep records clean and drive platform improvements for a global user base. Collaboration with scouts, IT and internal partners will be essential.

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL to extract, update and manipulate data with care and accuracy.
• Ability to investigate data issues, identify root causes and follow problems through to resolution.
• A proactive, improvement-minded approach to solving problems and refining processes.
• Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage structured, detail-focused work effectively.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with confidence working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
• An eagerness to learn, develop and build capability within a data-focused football environment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on data role focused on accuracy, consistency and development of CFG’s scouting data.
• Carry out data updates, quality checks and troubleshooting using admin tools and SQL.
• Maintain clean, dependable records and support platform improvements.
• Collaborate with scouts, scout managers, IT and internal partners to translate issues into actions.
