Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking a Commercial Assistant / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Surrey. This role focuses on the day‑to‑day commercial management of social housing works rather than a traditional site‑heavy QS position.

You will work with Schedule of Rates, assist with pricing, variations and applications, monitor subcontractor costs and maintain accurate trackers across live contracts while liaising with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Some experience with social housing, property maintenance, repairs, voids or planned works.
• Understanding of commercial processes behind project delivery.
• Experience with Schedule of Rates / SORs is useful.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of social housing repairs, voids and planned works
• Work with Schedule of Rates and assist with pricing and commercial updates
• Support quotations, variations and applications
• Monitor subcontractor costs and payment information
• Maintain commercial trackers, cost information and supporting documentation
• Work alongside operational teams to ensure works remain commercially controlled
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
• Assisting with commercial reporting across live contracts
• Support the wider Quantity Surveying team as workload increases
