Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking a Commercial Assistant / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its social housing and property services team in Surrey. The role focuses on commercial management of day-to-day housing works, pricing, variations, subcontractor costs and maintaining accurate contract information.

The ideal candidate has exposure to social housing, repairs, voids or planned works, with an understanding of commercial processes, schedules of rates, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing, property maintenance, repairs, voids or planned works.
• Understanding of commercial processes behind delivery.
• Experience using Schedule of Rates / SoRs.
• Exposure to subcontractor payments, valuations, applications or variations.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of social housing repairs, voids, and planned works.
• Assist with pricing, variations and commercial updates.
• Support quotations, applications and variations.
• Monitor subcontractor costs and payment information.
• Maintain commercial trackers and cost information across live contracts.
• Collaborate with operations to keep works financially controlled.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with commercial reporting across contracts.
• Support wider QS team as workload grows.
