Job summary

Time Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for our Wakefield office, with site-based duties on major UK retail fit-out and refurbishment projects. You will join a growing specialist team and work with an experienced commercial leadership to price, tender and report on projects.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate with some post-graduate experience or a QS professional with about three years in a commercial environment, offering mentoring and clear progression within the

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 1 year post-graduate experience or around 3 years in QS/commercial environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare detailed quotations.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and develop quotations.
• Manage commercial reporting, including CVRs.
• Assist with project management activities after contract award.
• Monitor project performance to ensure on-time and within budget.
• Coordinate invoicing and job receipts.
• Raise and manage purchase orders.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding materials and delivery schedules.
• Maintain internal project trackers and reporting systems.
• Support cost control and project financial management.
• Develop relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
