Job description

Due to an increase in workload, we are recruiting a Junior Quality Engineer for an expanding client based near Pocklington.

As part of the Quality Team, candidates will be required to work in post-production inspection and reporting on products before delivery to the clients.

Interested candidates will ideally be Time Served in a Mechanical Discipline with a desire to move into a quality engineering role. Knowledge of large plant or agricultural machinery is highly advantageous.

This role is ideal for a driven, proactive candidate looking to develop a career further within a quality engineering function. This position is based on days and available for an immediate start.

Role Description

1. Lead pre-delivery inspection on finished products.
2. Work with internal teams on addressing internal NCRs or quality issues.
3. Support all aspects of quality requirements in collaboration with Operations.
4. Produce quality certification and documentation for products in-process and for shipment as required.
5. Collaborate with and support other business areas regarding technical support and quality assurance.

Skills & Attributes

• Time served in a relevant engineering discipline – NVQ / City and Guilds.
• Experience within a Quality Engineering function in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of large plant / agricultural machinery is advantageous.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Internal auditing experience.
• Full UK Driving License – Essential.
