Job summary

Thales in Belfast is seeking a Junior Project Accountant to support financial management across key contracts and products. You will perform detailed analysis, forecasting and reporting to deliver accurate financial information for informed decisions.

The role suits a newly qualified accountant looking to develop in a leading technology and defence organisation, with opportunities to collaborate across Finance and Product teams in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CAI/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong IT skills with advanced MS Excel.
• Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Ability to quickly analyse technical, financial and commercial data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project estimates for Multi Year Budget (MYB) and rolling monthly forecast information.
• Prepare monthly CSR packs, reviewing costs, balance sheet areas and monitoring forecast evolution.
• Provide timely and accurate financial data to support management decisions.
• Provide TM1 input support for rolling forecasts and MYB activity.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations with justifications.
