Job summary

Vanrath is recruiting a Project Accountant/Cost Specialist for a global organisation based in Belfast. You will support financial management across a portfolio of high-profile projects in aerospace, defence, security, and space sectors, delivering review packs and robust project analysis.

You will liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and forecasts, contribute to contract estimates and rolling forecasts, and help maintain compliance with accounting standards

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with 1-2 years PQE, ideally in manufacturing.
• Experience delivering financial analysis in a technical environment.
• Strong ERP experience, Oracle; TM1 and Power BI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support financial management across key projects with review packs.
• Provide project analysis reports and forecasts with stakeholders.
• Assist with contract estimates and risk mitigation.

About you

• Qulalified Accountant with 1-2 years PQE ideally gained within a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to deliver financial analysis in a technical setting
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Oracle; TM1 and Power BI experience is desirable
• Qualifications such as ICAI, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
• Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel
• Strong stakeholder communication and analytical capabilities

What you'll do

• Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting
• Contribute to contract estimates, rolling forecasts, and project risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements
