Job summary

Henderson Scott is seeking a Newly Qualified to 2 PQE Private Client Solicitor to join their Thames Valley private client team. You will handle a varied caseload across wills, probate, estate administration and trusts, under guidance from senior colleagues.

Responsibilities

You’ll work on a varied caseload, gain exposure to a broad range of private client matters and collaborate closely with colleagues at all levels. You’ll also have the opportunity to share knowledge, support junior team members and contribute to the continued development of the practice.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing a varied caseload of wills, probate, estate administration, estate planning and trusts, with support from senior colleagues where needed.
• Advising clients with care and professionalism, ensuring a high standard of client service.
• Assisting with more complex matters and developing your technical expertise through hands-on experience.
• Working closely with and supporting junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and helping them develop their skills.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the team to support the continued growth of the private client practice.

We’re looking for:

• A qualified Solicitor with NQ-2 years’ PQE and experience in private client matters.
• A strong foundation in wills, probate, estate administration and trusts.
• STEP membership or a genuine interest in working towards the qualification is desirable.
• Excellent communication and client care skills, with a proactive and professional approach.
• A collaborative mindset and an interest in supporting and working closely with junior colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
