Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nurse looking to work in an exceptionally well-run GP surgery in London. The practice serves a diverse patient population, from affluent to deprived, with clinics designed to best serve this community. Appointments are 15-30 minutes long, offering clinicians a variety of interesting work each day.

While primary care experience is preferred, it is not essential to join this multi-disciplinary team. The practice is a progressive Teaching Practice for Medical Students and FY2s, and is a GP Training Practice with ST3 Registrars. It is well connected, within 5-10 minutes' walk from several tube stations.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 full-time equivalent + 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave + NHS Pension

Location: Vauxhall, London

The surgery:

• Teaching Practice for Medical Students and FY2s
• GP Training Practice with ST3 Registrars
• Large multidisciplinary team including Prescribing Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers, Smoking Cessation Advisors, Drug and Alcohol Counselors, and a strong Nursing team
• Well established, supportive team with high staff retention
• Serves an affluent population, including homeless and refugee patients
• Supportive, coherent, and forward-thinking practice

Your role:

• Part-time, 3-day week (flexible hours)
• Must work Mondays and Fridays
• Wound care, smears, baby immunisations, and other Treatment Room Nurse duties
• All appointments are pre-booked and face-to-face
• Dedicated admin time
• Primary care experience preferred but not essential
• MUST have Nursing experience
