CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Junior Mobile M&E Engineer for AP Training on a commercial office contract along the M4 Corridor, covering locations such as Thatcham, Oxford, Basingstoke and Reading. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance across 6–7 sites, with a salary up to £43,000 DOE plus a package.

The candidate will join an established FM service provider; a strong background in facilities maintenance is preferred, but recent graduates with relevant qualifications are

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical qualification with City & Guilds Level 2/3 (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (Electrical bias) qualification.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Multi-skilled with strong client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Lighting-related tasks: small installations, fault finding, lamping.
• Emergency lighting tests and maintenance of control panels.
• Change ballast, operate and maintain BMS systems.
• Carry out general M&E and fabric maintenance across sites.

Junior Mobile M&E Engineer – AP Training - FM Service Provider - Commercial Office - M4 Corridor - up to £43,000 DOE + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based along the M4 Corridor has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a Junior Mobile M&E Maintenance Engineer to be based on a commercial office contract along the M4 Corridor, including locations such as Thatcham, Oxford, Basingstoke & Reading. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across roughly 6 or 7 sites.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. My client is also willing to look at engineers who are fresh out of college with qualifications or only a few years of experience. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £43,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00
• Callout TBC

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests
• Control Panels
• Changing Ballast
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e.Hot & cold)
• Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintain and update Log books
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Compliance and logbooks
• Chillers and pressurisation units
• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
• Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
• Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

Requirements

• Electrically or mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2&3
• City & Guilds - 18th Edition (If Electrical bias)
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
