Job summary

Boden in the UK is seeking a Merchandising leader to plan and deliver profitable, customer-focused ranges in womenswear, coaching an Assistant Merchandiser and Merchandising Admin Assistant. Location: four days at North Acton office with one day work from home.

You will analyse data to identify trends, review range performance, present KPI, and collaborate across functions to ensure range alignment, pricing architecture and stock management.

Overview

Help plan and deliver profitable, customer focused ranges within a prominent womenswear category. Additionally provide the recommendations for the right stock at the right time with the correct range. Also help support, coach and mentor your team, which includes an Assistant Merchandiser and Merchandising Admin Assistant.

Location: 4 days per week at our North Acton office, 1 working from home.

What You Will Do

• Create and develop the product planning strategy for the department.
• Collate and analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks to plan the range architecture.
• Review size analysis and analyse market trends across product.
• Ensure range appeal across all markets through attribute and pricing architecture.
• Optimise/Plan/Build range size and newness phasing always considering "think customer first".
• Confidently present financial KPI's, Demand phasing and OTB spend.
• Collaboratively present buy quantities supported with ROS and hind sighting validation.
• With Buying counterpart, sign off/plan/review buy quantities and fabric production forecasts.
• Collate, analyse, and update planning packs with historical data including Sales, Intake and ROS.
• Lead and present weekly trade, optimising sales with agility and identify any risk & opportunities.
• Identify daily/weekly/monthly sales, stock and BTA risks and opportunities.
• WSSI management including monthly reforecasting.
• Markdown management including markdown proposals.
• Terminal Stock management; seek best routes to clear internal & external.
• Work cross functionally within product to ensure processes are aligned and efficient.
• Actively use and champion tools and systems provided by business and support training of new starters.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working at a Junior Merchandiser or as a Senior Assistant Merchandiser ready for a new challenge.
• Passionate about a career in merchandising.
• Experience in proactively managing workload, prioritising, and delegating.
• Lead by example to all direct line reports and junior members across Merchandising.
• Coach and mentor direct line reports and provide support to other junior members across the Merchandising teams.
• Manage/expectations communicate upwards.
• Manage underperformance within the framework of the business performance review process.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Highly analytical with attention to detail.
• Experience of working cross functionally.
• Strong Customer and Brand focus.
• Clear communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently and cross functionally.
