Job description

We’re looking for a commercially savvy and confident Junior Merchandiser to join our dynamic team at Karen Millen. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a product area, drive sales performance, and work collaboratively with our talented Buying and Merchandising teams.

In this role, you’ll have a key influence on trading decisions and will regularly present to senior leadership. With our fast-paced test-and-repeat model, you’ll be empowered to respond quickly to trends, maximising sales and profit while building on the strength of our premium fashion brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, trading, and managing your own department with a strong focus on performance and profitability.
  • Driving the test and repeat model through daily and weekly sales analysis and trading actions.
  • Leading departmental trading meetings and presenting performance updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Managing WSSI including accurate forecasting of demand, OTB, returns, AVSP, and margin.
  • Owning the critical path and taking swift action on risks or issues.
  • Reviewing product group performance, initiating rebuys, markdowns, or exit strategies as needed.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members while contributing to cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in reporting tools and trading packs.
  • Supporting the Buying and Design teams while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Actively contributing to the strategic and commercial direction of your department and the wider business.

  • Advanced Excel skills with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated commercial awareness and an understanding of fashion trends that drive customer behaviour.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
