JOB - Junior Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION - Leeds
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - 25,000 to 38,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with an engineering company based in Leeds who are looking to hire a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support both their design and production teams.

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HND, HNC, BEng, etc.)
  
  
• Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and technical drawings
  
  
• Hands-on experience or interest in CNC machine programming using Alphacam
  
  
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining and fabrication
  
  
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  
  
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and develop
  
  
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  
  

The Junior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• Supporting the design of components and assemblies using SolidWorks
  
  
• Producing engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation for production
  
  
• Programming CNC machines using Alphacam for production operations
  
  
• Collaborating closely with production teams to support manufacturing activities
  
  
• Assisting with process improvements and new product development
  
  
• Ensuring designs are cost-effective and meet customer requirements
