JOB - Junior Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION - Leeds
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £25,000 to £38,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with an engineering company based in Leeds who are looking to hire a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support both their design and production teams.

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

- A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HND, HNC, BEng, etc.)

- Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and technical drawings

- Hands-on experience or interest in CNC machine programming using Alphacam

- Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining and fabrication

- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and develop

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

The Junior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

- Supporting the design of components and assemblies using SolidWorks

- Producing engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation for production

- Programming CNC machines using Alphacam for production operations

- Collaborating closely with production teams to support manufacturing activities

- Assisting with process improvements and new product development

- Ensuring designs are cost-effective and meet customer requirements
