Job summary

BMC Recruitment Group are recruiting a Junior Account Manager to join their marketing team in Teesside. You’ll start with a smaller portfolio, building relationships and understanding clients’ businesses to develop account management skills.

You’ll receive support from an experienced team, with ownership of accounts from day one, and clear opportunities to progress as you grow in confidence and capability.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.
• Creativity and willingness to contribute ideas.
• Interest in understanding why marketing performs, not just what looks good.
• Marketing qualification or degree would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns.
• Understand each client's business, objectives, customers and marketing priorities.
• Help plan marketing activity and maintain clear marketing calendars for your accounts.
• Coordinate marketing delivery through Social, Content, Creative and Paid Media teams.
• Create clear briefs so our specialist teams understand what needs to be produced and why.
• Manage client requests, feedback and approvals.
• Keep campaigns and projects on track and ensure deadlines are met.
• Regularly communicate with clients about their marketing activity and opportunities.
• Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports for clients.
• Conduct market, customer and competitor research to inform decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve, expand or add value to a client’s marketing.
• Develop understanding of marketing strategy and commercial account management as you progress.
