Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is seeking a motivated Junior Management Accountant to join a busy Finance team. Reporting to an experienced Finance Director, this role is ideal for a graduate or part-qualified accountant studying toward CIMA or equivalent to develop their career.

This part-time position offers 30-32 hours per week, with responsibilities spanning management accounts, budgeting, month-end closes, VAT/CIS returns, and audit support, while fostering a proactive,

Qualifications

• Graduate or part-qualified in accounting, ideally studying towards CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SAP experience would be advantageous.
• A proactive team player with strong communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of CIS and Applications for Payment (AFPs) would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts, journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial analysis, variance reports and commentary.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and month-end/year-end processes.
• Support Accounts Payable and Receivable, resolving queries as required.
• Assist with VAT/CIS returns, statutory accounts and audit requirements.
