Qualifications

• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting deadlines.
• Undertake commercial analysis and support balance sheet management.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports with meaningful commentary.
• Monitor operational trends and implement improvement actions.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and performance packs.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate between operational and finance teams to drive improvements.
• Support audits and ad hoc reporting as required.

Job Duties

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Undertake commercial analysis and support effective balance sheet management.
• Produce, interpret and analyse financial reports, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations to improve business performance.
• Monitor asset and operational trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and performance review packs.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Review operational performance and work alongside management teams to implement improvement plans.
• Act as a key link between operational teams and support functions across the business.
• Analyse KPIs and financial information to drive continuous improvement and performance.
• Support half-year and year-end audit processes.
• Undertake ad hoc reporting, analysis and project work as required.
• Provide support across the wider finance team.

When will interviews be taking place?

• Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, with applications being reviewed as they are received.

Ideal Experience

• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Previous experience within a finance, accounts or assistant management accounting position.
• Strong analytical and commercial awareness.
• Experience preparing financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
• Experience using ERP systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
