Junior Maintenance Engineer (Progression to Commissioning Engineer)
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (OTE £42K) + Training + International Travel + Progression + 33 Days Holiday + Healthcare
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire

Are you a Junior Maintenance Engineer with an electrical background looking for comprehensive training on PLC Programming, working on highly complex Special Purpose Machinery with the aim of becoming an international Commissioning Engineer?

This role involves training by senior engineers on building, setting up, testing, programming, and commissioning a range of complex Special Purpose Machinery. Based in Bedford, you'll learn on-the-job with the goal of progressing into a role where you will independently commission machines worldwide.

The company supplies to over 80 countries, offering extensive travel opportunities. They operate in a niche, highly specialized industry and recently moved into a new, fully equipped workshop with the latest manufacturing technologies.

This position is suitable for a Junior Maintenance Engineer from an electrical background, such as an apprentice, eager to develop skills in PLC programming and international machine commissioning, with travel up to 50% of the time.

The Role:

• On-the-job training from senior engineers
• Learning to program Omron PLCs
• Understanding FAT and SAT procedures
• Pathway to become an International Commissioning Engineer
• Extensive UK and international travel

The Person:

• Junior Maintenance or Service Engineer
• Experience with electrical equipment such as servos, drives, sensors, instruments, PLCs, robotics
• Valid UK driving license
