Job Role

Field Service Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire

Salary: £33,000-£35,000 base (OTE £45,000-£60,000)

Company: A rapidly expanding and innovative organisation in the Wiltshire area, supporting growth within the engineering team.

The Duties

• Attend breakdowns, service, and PPMs on industrial compactor systems within waste management industry
• Use manual and electrical hand tools, lifting equipment, hot working tools
• Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding, including hydraulic systems
• Manage time effectively to ensure high standards and timely completion
• Update job reports and order parts as needed
• Follow Health & Safety procedures

The Requirements

• Experience in electrical, mechanical fault finding, repair, and service
• Experience with MIG/TIG welding is advantageous but not essential
• Good electrical or mechanical knowledge, suitable for roles like plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, etc.
• Experience with electrical & mechanical tools
• Previous experience as a field-based engineer with hydraulic systems/hoses, fault finding, and electrical work
• Full UK Driver's License
