Role: Regional Technical Services Engineer

Location: Midlands / Wales

Contract type: Full time, permanent

The main responsibility of this role is to plan and carry out field support activities for the EMS wireless Fire Detection and alarm product lines supporting customers covering the Midlands and Wales.

Responsibilities
  1. Attend sites where EMS products are installed to provide technical assistance to installer/maintaining companies.
  2. Maintain and develop EMS products and services to the Fire and Security industry.
  3. Complete site visit reports in accordance with company requirements.
  4. Carry out radio site surveys.
  5. Maintain and develop existing customer relationships.
  6. Liaise with and inform the internal Technical Support Department regarding any site technical information required by installing and maintaining companies.
  7. Attend technical conference calls to discuss any sites regionally that require technical assistance.
  8. Attend and present at customer and internal meetings in accordance with regional and company objectives.
  9. Undertake customer training on EMS products when suitably trained to do so.
  10. Supply technical support regionally and outside of the local area where required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
  • A good general knowledge of EMS products and services.
  • An understanding of fire and security industry codes of practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Ability to work well with others to achieve objectives.
  • Ability to present oneself and company products professionally.
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, internet, and email.
  • UK full driving license.
  • Articulate and well-presented.
  • Credible and comfortable in dealing with tense situations.
  • Good organizational skills.
