CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer for a premier commercial building in the City of London. The role involves on-site planned and reactive maintenance, working closely with a senior engineer to gain hands-on experience in building services.

The successful candidate will have electrical or mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds Level 3/2) and be prepared to learn within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical background with willingness to learn building services.
• On-site maintenance experience in commercial buildings is preferred.
• Able to follow safety procedures and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance in a commercial building.
• Attend to lighting, electrical distribution, and fire alarm tests as required.
• Maintain plant room equipment including pumps and AHUs.
• Assist with maintaining and updating log books.
• Support senior engineer and larger team on site.

An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in London has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer either of an electrical, mechanical, or plumbing background, to be based in a commercial buildingin the City of London. He or she or they will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. This person will be working closely with a senior member of the team and the team on-site to gain experience and training of building services.

The successful candidate will understand Facilities Maintenance and have some experience in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £40,000, overtime, plenty of further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 17:00 pm
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
• Emergency lighting tests & Fire alarm tests
• Plant room maintenance
• Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Control Panels
• Changing Ballast
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
• Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
• Maintain and update Log books
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors

Requirements

• Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3 or mechanically City & Guilds Level 2
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
