Job summary

Ganymede is recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer for a large, automated cold-storage facility in Grantham on a two-month rolling contract. The role involves operating and monitoring conveyors and warehouse equipment in a -40°C environment, with full PPE provided.

You will navigate 12-hour rotating day/night shifts and complete site-specific training before starting. Candidates should have warehouse, production or machine operation experience and be comfortable working around automated

Qualifications

Previous experience in warehousing, production or machine operation.
Flexibility to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
Ability to work in extreme cold while wearing full PPE.
Confidence to work at heights up to 42 metres.
Willingness to undertake all required training and follow site procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor automated conveyor systems and related warehouse equipment.
Respond to basic system stoppages, alarms and operational issues.
Identify common problems, such as jams obstructing sensors, and follow procedures to resolve them.
Reset equipment where trained and authorised to do so.
Work safely around automated crane aisles, conveyors and other machinery.
Work at heights of up to 42 metres when required.
Comply with all site health and safety procedures.
