Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Junior Java Developer / Software Engineer in West London with hybrid working. Salary up to £50k, with bonus and career development opportunities, and a focus on backend Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, and AWS.

The role supports trading, marketplace, website and payments projects within a collaborative, growth-oriented team. Flexible home-working two days per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree-educated with a 2.1 or above in CS or similar STEM from a top-tier university
• Strong A-level results
• Commercial Java development experience
• Familiarity with Agile processes and TDD
• Understanding of CS fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms
• Exposure to Scala/Kotlin/Spring Boot/TypeScript/React/AWS/Kubernetes/Docker/Linux is beneficial
• Collaborative with good communication skills

Requirements:

• Strong A-level results
• Commercial Java development experience
• Familiarity with Agile processes and TDD
• Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures, and Algorithms
• Previous exposure to Scala, Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or Linux would be beneficial but is not essential
• Collaborative with good communication skills
