Job summary

Oscar in Bristol is seeking an experienced Full Stack Java/J2EE developer. You will design, build and maintain Java applications across the full stack, collaborating on technical solutions and cloud integrations.

You will contribute to builds, deployments and continuous improvement while engaging with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of commercial Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong knowledge of J2EE, RESTful Web Services and Struts frameworks.
• Solid understanding of unit, integration, system and regression testing.
• Experience with Git, SVN and Eclipse.
• Collaborative, problem-solving mindset with curiosity for new tech.
• Nice to have: Docker or Kubernetes and UNIX/Linux experience.
• Nice to have: Build, configuration, and release management experience.
• Nice to have: APIs and system integration experience.
• Nice to have: Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Nice to have: Additional languages such as C++, Python, Perl or JavaScript.
