Job summary

Charlie Bigham's is seeking an entry-level IT systems developer to support the day-to-day operation of our SYSPRO ERP and integration platforms. Based in London or Wells with optional home-working, you will learn how information moves between systems, assist with queries, testing and documentation, and grow under senior team guidance.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in IT and how business systems work.
• Exposure to IT through study, work, self-learning or projects.
• Methodical problem-solving with willingness to ask questions.
• Good written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, follow documented processes and work in a team.
• No previous SYSPRO, ERP or enterprise integration experience required.

Responsibilities

• Development support: assist with supervised integration and system-development tasks; modify SQL, stored procedures and database objects; learn how XML, APIs and Business Objects connect systems; document work clearly.
• Testing: follow test scripts, record results, gather evidence, retest fixes and enhancements, support UAT.
• Troubleshooting: monitor daily integration processes, perform initial checks on failed interfaces and data errors, escalate when needed.
• Business support: respond to requests, help users with queries, maintain support notes, understand production, planning, warehouse and finance processes.
• Documentation and training: keep technical and user docs up to date; help prepare training material.
• Continuous learning: develop knowledge of SQL Server, XML, APIs, BPA Platform, Business Objects, and enterprise integrations.
