Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with an international organisation in healthcare and manufacturing to recruit a Digital Systems Analyst to join their IT function in Comber, Northern Ireland.

The role offers hands-on exposure to Microsoft 365, Windows, Azure and VMware, supporting users across UK and international locations in a hybrid environment. This is ideal for a junior IT professional or recent graduate seeking broad infra exposure and career development.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in IT support, service desk or technical support role, or a relevant IT degree with industry placement experience.
• Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and environments.
• Experience troubleshooting common hardware, software and user-related technical issues.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to users across multiple business locations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system and connectivity issues.
• Support and maintain Windows 10/11 devices, laptops, desktops and associated peripherals.
• Assist with the administration and support of Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Exchange Online.
• Support user account administration, access permissions and password management within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Log, investigate and resolve technical support tickets, escalating more complex issues to senior engineers when required.
• Assist with the setup, configuration and deployment of new laptops, desktops and other IT equipment.
• Support basic networking troubleshooting, including connectivity, DNS, DHCP and VPN-related issues.
• Gain exposure to Microsoft Azure, VMware and wider infrastructure technologies.
• Assist with system upgrades, software deployments and IT improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions and IT processes.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Digital Systems team to deliver a high standard of IT support.
