Job summary

Vesta Software Group is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist for our Wallingford, Oxfordshire office. You will join an internal support team servicing a range of products across multiple businesses in a high-pressure environment.

You will handle desktop, server, AD, networking and cloud services, communicate via helpdesk, and contribute to process documentation while learning through hands-on exposure.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Networks and Microsoft Windows Active Directory environments.
• Hold or be working towards IT qualifications.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 requirements.
• Previous IT & helpdesk experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service first and second line IT support tickets to ISO 27001 standards.
• Escalate tickets to 3rd line engineers.
• Create new playbooks and maintenance plans.
• Build client computer systems from scripts and assist with troubleshooting.
• Keep existing documentation up to date and share processes.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform updates.
• Carry out routine network maintenance including backups and patch management to ISO 27001 standards.
