Job summary

GreenSafeIT in Kidderminster is seeking an entry-level Configuration Engineer to image and configure desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and other assets in line with SLAs. You will perform BIOS configuration and post-imaging setup to ensure devices are secure and customer-ready.

This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri) and involves collaboration with the team to meet KPIs, while maintaining quality and safety standards. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Entry level - Junior technician role.
• Configuration, staging and preparation of IT equipment in line with KPIs and SLAs.
• Includes BIOS configuration, asset tagging, OS imaging and post-deployment setup.

Responsibilities

• Image and configure desktops, laptops, printers, tablets and other assets per standards and SLAs.
• Configure BIOS settings and apply system customisations.
• Execute asset tagging and record data in asset management systems.
• Complete post-imaging configuration, validation and quality checks.
• Meet defined KPIs and SLAs, including turnaround times and quality benchmarks.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace in line with health and safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to achieve daily targets and goals.
• Provide support to colleagues to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Train and mentor team members for consistency and quality.
• Follow data security procedures when handling customer devices and information.
