Our Analysts are vital to NielsenIQ’s success. They work every day with our client base, which includes most of the major brands you see in the supermarket. We also work with most of the supermarkets and other retailers where you’ll find these products. If you saw it the last time you did your weekly shop, they’re probably a NielsenIQ client, as is the shop. They all rely on our people.

Our clients come to us with challenges and questions ranging from deciding on new product development, designing a new price strategy, and much more! NielsenIQ’s Analysts work with our clients to create and present analyses based on the world’s best datasets. Our insights team supports clients in Health and Beauty, Beers, Wine and Spirits, or Grocery.

Our staff are confident and capable crafters of compelling insights, delivering clear and actionable recommendations to our clients to help them grow their business.

The successful candidate will be someone who can establish strong relationships with clients and colleagues, becoming a trusted partner across various teams such as marketing, sales, and category management. You will need to understand client needs and create solutions to meet their strategic and tactical goals.

If you’re excited about storytelling through data but unsure about your data knowledge, get in touch. We offer excellent training to help you understand our products and analysis creation.

Responsibilities

  1. Understand client business priorities and how we can support these goals (e.g., participation in brand planning & range reviews).
  2. Recognize how our work impacts individual client objectives.
  3. Set up client onboarding for analytics & insights services and conduct tactical client training on tools like Connect Express and Discover.
  4. Identify sales opportunities during client engagements and pass these to Account Development for pursuit.

Qualifications

This role is suitable for a recent graduate or someone with around 2 years of work experience, demonstrating the following:

Essential:

  • Numerical confidence demonstrated by a scientific or other numerate degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to analyze data confidently.
  • Problem-solving and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Engaging presenter and storyteller.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Experience in an analytical environment.
  • Understanding of FMCG industry and trends.
  • Knowledge of UK retail landscape.
  • UK Driving license.
